that's a lot deeper than an app," Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg said at the launch of Facebook Home on April 12.
Exactly 10 days later, Facebook Home has 5,00,000-1,000,000 downloads.
Consultant Benedict Evans had tweeted about the figure via his Twitter account. The Play Store does not offer specific information related to downloads barring a wide range of installation numbers, said a report an NDTV report.
Some features of the Facebook Home
1. The moment users turn the family of apps on, they can see a a steady stream of friends' posts and photos
2. Notifications about calls, events, Facebook updates and other apps appear on users' home screen
3. Allows one to chat, while they do other things, like watch videos or browse the web
4. Facebook Home for Android will be available for download from the Google Play Store on certain devices, including the HTC One X, HTC One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note II, says the official website of Home.
