Supreme Court declines early hearing on 3G roaming pacts
It comes just a day after a bench of Delhi High Court reversed its previous order restraining the telecom department to cease Airtel's 3G services.
Bharti Airtel hasn't, however, got any immediate respite from the Supreme Court, as the case has been postponed for April 8. The telecom department termed Airtel, Vodafone and Idea operations in seven circles, where they don't have licence, as illegal.
The department had earlier said that the 3G roaming pacts were forged in a sheer violation of licensing terms and conditions, and such pacts have deep impact on spectrum auction.
